Current Rates

Water and sewer rates are set by ordinance 2015-30, effective November 1, 2015. City bills residential garbage with the monthly water bill. Garbage rates are set by council approved contract with vendor.

Water

Based on volumetric usage per 1,000 gallons and a base charge of $7.13

  • Base Charge - $ 7.13
  • 1st Tier: 1,000 to 3,000 gallons - $1.50 per 1,000 gallons
  • 2nd Tier: 4,000 to 10,000 gallons - $5.50 per 1,000 gallons
  • 3rd Tier: 11,000 to 25,000 gallons - $7 per 1,000 gallons
  • 4th Tier: 26,000 gallons and more - $8.50 per 1,000 gallons

Example: 28,000 gallons

  • Base Charge: $ 7.13
  • 1st Tier: 3 at $1.50 - 4.50
  • 2nd Tier: 7 at $5.50 - 38.50
  • 3rd Tier: 15 at $7.00 - 105
  • 4th Tier: 3 at $8.50 - 25.50
  • Total: 28 - $180.63

Irrigation

Based on volumetric usage per 1,000 gallons and a base charge of $7.13

  • Base Charge: $ 7.13
  • Each 1,000 gallons: $ 7

Example: 28,000 gallons

  • Base Charge: $ 7.13
  • 28 at $7: $196
  • Total 28: $ 203.13




Sewer

Based on volumetric usage per 1,000 gallons of water and a base charge of $13.88. Sewer cost is capped at 10,000 gallons, $51.62 for residential accounts.

  • Base Charge - $ 13.88
  • 1st Tier: 1,000 to 3,000 gallons - $1.80 per 1,000 gallons
  • 2nd Tier: 4,000 to 10,000 gallons - $4.62 per 1,000 gallons
  • 3rd Tier: 11,000 to 25,000 gallons - $4.62 per 1,000 gallons
  • 4th Tier: 26,000 gallons and more - $4.62 per 1,000 gallons

Example: 28,000 gallons

  • Base Charge: $13.88
  • 1st Tier: 3 at $1.80 5.40
  • 2nd Tier: 7 at $4.62 32.34
  • Total: Cap at 10,000 - $51.62

Garbage

  • Cost is $17.95 per residential account.
  • The flat rate is subject to change.
  • 1st water bill will reflect 2 or 3 months of billing (cost between $30 to $55).
