Support Services Bureau

Responsibilities

The Support Services Bureau Commander provides executive supervision over the communication center, the records division, reserve police officer unit, crime analysis unit, and Central Square Public Safety GRID Consortium. The Support Services Bureau is comprised of 27 civilian employees and 2 sworn officers that provide a variety of support related services to other divisions within the Police Department. The Support Services Bureau Commander directly supervises civilian managers within records, communications, and sworn personnel within the GRID services/crime analysis unit. In addition, the Support Services Bureau Commander is responsible for the following:

• Provides training to area police departments in data analysis, crystal reports, Microsoft Power BI, Adobe Livecycle, and Central Square products
• Serves as the Department's reserve unit Captain
• Supervises the Department's crime analysis unit
• System administrator over the Department's multi-agency public safety records management software (GRID - Gulf Coast Regional Information & Dispatch Consortium)

• Master Police Officer License
• TCOLE Instructor
• Bachelors Degree - Criminal Justice Police Science, Sam Houston State University
• Masters Degree - Criminal Justice Leadership & Management, Sam Houston State University
