Swimming Lessons
Currently, we offer swim lessons during the Spring, Summer, and Fall. All classes are 30 minutes long. Registration for our swim lessons can be done online or in person at Hometown Heroes Park. To register online, an account with League City Parks and Recreation is needed. If you have any questions, call 281-554-1180.

- Parent/Tot: 6 months to 3 years. Instructors will introduce parents and children to water acclimation and exploration through games and songs. There are no prerequisites for this class.
- Youth Swim Lessons: 3 to 14 years.* Whether you are wanting to refine your skills or you have never been in a pool before we are here to help you meet your goals. All ages and skill levels are welcome, and our instructors will work with you side-by-side to get you where you want to be. Remember swimming takes practice, patience, and determination. We are so excited to have the opportunity to teach you!
- Adult Lessons: 15 years and older. All skill levels are welcome.
*In the Spring and Fall our Youth Swim Lessons will start at 6 years old.
Beginner Swim Lessons
This level focuses on learning basic water skills. Participants will be introduced to water basics such as water acclimation and exploration, breath control, submerging, floating, gliding, and the beginning steps for front crawl. Your child must be comfortable in the water without a flotation device.
Intermediate Swim Lessons
This level focuses on reviewing and refining fundamental aquatic skills. Participants will learn to fully submerge underwater, refine their front crawl, and be introduced to side-to-side breathing and backstroke.
Advance Swim Lessons
This level focuses on refining and perfecting stroke development. Participants will refine their front crawl and backstroke, butterfly, elementary backstroke, and diving basics. This class is drill orientated with lap swimming to perfect technique. Your swimmer must be able to swim 50 yards of freestyle and 25 yards of backstroke without stopping to participate in this class.
Rain Out Policy & Procedure
In the event of inclement weather, your class will be canceled one hour before its start time. All rain out updates will be posted online at Teamsideline. It will show which classes have been canceled and the makeup day that has been scheduled. Updates will only be posted on the website listed above.
Make-Up Classes
We do not offer make-up classes for sick or other miscellaneous absences from class. The only make-up classes offered are for inclement weather cancellations.
Registration Information
Registration for our programs can be done online or in person at Hometown Heroes Park or Community Center. To register online, an account is needed. Accounts can be created online or in person. To create an account in person, please visit either Hometown Heroes Park or Community Center during business hours. If you are a League City resident you will need a valid ID and current water bill. If you are a non-resident, you will need a valid ID. If you have any questions, call 281-554-1180.
Creating an Account (Household) Online
To create an account online, visit: Online Parks and Rec Registration and click on 'New Account' in the top bar and fill in the required fields. Please make sure to add everyone living in your household, including children.
