New Operations Building at Dallas Salmon Wastewater Treatment Plant

Budget

$6 million

Scope of Work

The project will include an approximately 10,000 square feet, two story building with slab on grade built up to approximately 4.25 feet above existing grade with 7,000 square feet to 8,000 square feet of finished out building space and 2,000 to 3,000 square feet “shelled” for future expansion. The facility will be designed for up to 145 mph winds unless otherwise required by code, and it will have a dedicated generator. It is anticipated that there may be a hardened area of solid walls and a concrete roof deck within the building designed to withstand greater storm events in a natural disaster. The previous operations building had numerous preexisting issues that were exacerbated during Hurricane Harvey and has been demolished.
