The League City Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting two popular, family-oriented events to kickoff 2019.
Fishing Extravaganza
On Saturday, January 26, come out to the League City Walker Pool for a unique fishing experience at the annual Fishing Extravaganza. The pool will be filled with catfish ready to be caught. Remember to bring your fishing poles, bait and a towel to keep warm and dry. Cane fishing poles will be available to rent. Pre-register at Hometown Heroes Park or online (you will need an account). Space is limited!
Registration
Registration for League City residents is now open with a fee of $6.
Registration opens January 9, 2019 for non-residents with a fee of $10.
Schedule
Ages 7 and under: 10 to 11:50 a.m.*
Ages 7 and above: Noon to 1:50 p.m.*
All Ages: 2 to 3:50 p.m.* and 4 to 5:50 p.m. (no catch limit)
*Catch Limit: 8 fish per registered participant
Daddy-Daughter Dance
On Friday, February 8 at 6:30 p.m., fathers and daughters can dance the night away at the Daddy-Daughter Dance. Come to Hometown Heroes Park, 2105 Dickinson Ave, and enjoy a sit-down dinner, lots of great tunes to dance to, goodie bags, and an opportunity for professional portraits with fees paid separately to the photographer. Pre-register at Hometown Heroes Park or online (you will need an account).

Registration is now open to League City residents with a fee of $27.50 per person.
Registration opens January 9, 2019 for non-residents with a fee of $41.25 per person.
