Calling all pet lovers!
The City of League City will be hosting a Pet Fest and Groundbreaking event on Saturday, January 26 for the City's new Animal Care and Adoption Center, which be located at 755 West Walker Street, next to the Public Safety Building. The groundbreaking ceremony will take pace at 10 a.m. and will be followed by the Pet Fest celebration from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 West Walker Street.
This is a free, pet-friendly event that will include a pet pageant, low cost pet vaccinations, free micro-chipping, LCPD K-9 demonstrations, pet photos, a consignment shop, a dog obstacle course, food trucks, music and more. Attendees will also have a chance to honor a pet or fellow "pet lover" by sponsoring a kennel, memorial brick or other item in the new animal shelter.
