League City voters to consider $145 million bond election and ¼ cent sales tax referendum
On May 4, 2019, League City voters will head to the polls to consider three separate propositions.
• Proposition A: $73 Million General Obligation Bond for Flood Protection and Drainage Improvements
• Proposition B: $72 Million General Obligation Bond for Streets, Roadways, and Mobility Improvements
• Proposition C: ¼ Cent Sales Tax Referendum (revenue to fund roadway, traffic mobility, and drainage improvements within the City)
Timeline to Call for May 4 Special Election
After months of presentations and recommendations by City staff, discussions and information gathering at workshops and Council meetings, and with citizen input gathered at public hearings, town hall meetings, and online surveys, City Council approved placing two general obligation bond propositions and a ¼ cent sales tax referendum on the ballot.
