Celebrate Independence Day League City style this July 3 and 4 at two of our most popular events of the year!

 July 3 Fireworks Extravaganza

First, join us as we kick off the holiday a day early with a July 3 fireworks show at the Chester L. Davis Sportsplex. The League City Fireworks Extravaganza, sponsored by AmeriWaste, will run from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Chester L. Davis Sportsplex, located at 1251 League City Parkway. Admission to the event is free. The fireworks extravaganza will feature a variety of food trucks, live music and entertainment, inflatables for kids, vendor booths, and a fireworks show that will start promptly at 9 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and blankets. Coolers are welcome, but pop-up tents are not allowed. Public parking will be available at the Sportsplex on a first-come, first-served basis, so residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and arrive early.

  July 4 Citizen Appreciation Day

On Thursday, July 4, come share your patriotic spirit with us as we recognize League City's most valuable asset-our citizens! The 21st annual League City Citizen Appreciation Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hometown Heroes Park, located at 1001 E. League City Parkway. The free event will feature family-friendly activities including a petting zoo, live entertainment, face-painting, and moonwalks. The Hometown Heroes Pool will be open as well. League City Council, the Mayor, and City staff will serve complimentary hot dogs, watermelon, snow cones, and cotton candy. All residents are invited to attend.
