Residents and local business owners interested in learning more about municipal operations are invited can now register for League City's Fall 2019 Citizen University program.
The interactive program, which started in 2015, is designed to familiarize community members with the purpose, processes and structure of the city’s government so they can become active participants in municipal operations. Each session will include presentations from City staff on various services, issues, and department, facility tours, as well as information on how residents can engage and get involved in their local government.
Classes will be held over a 10-week period from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday starting September 5, 2019.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis for any League City resident or business owner who is 18 or older and not an elected official or running for office. To register, fill out the application and return to Nora Garcia in person to City Hall, 300 West Walker, or by email nora.garcia@leaguecitytx.gov. The deadline to apply is August 29.
