One of the most celebrated traditions in League City is Holiday in the Park, a three-day, family friendly holiday event put on by the League City Proud Organization for the citizens of League City, their families, and friends. Holiday in the Park always takes place in League Park (512 2nd Street) on the first full weekend in December—which for 2019 is December 6, 7, and 8. The event features holiday shopping, food vendors, entertainment, and three parades, including the Grand Night Parade which is the largest holiday parade in Galveston County. The theme for this year’s parade is “Hats off to Frosty” in honor of the 50th anniversary of the classic, holiday cartoon.
