The City of League City has been allocated Community Development Block Grant- Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds as a result of the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey. The Texas General Land Office (GLO) directed the local Councils of Governments (COG) to create Methods of Distribution (MODs) based on the unmet needs and overall damages in each region. The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) created the MOD for the City of League City and the City’s priority for this funding is drainage projects to prevent future flood events.
The City of League City is required to make available the project applications for the public to view and make comment on for 30 days. This 30-day comment period will begin on June 19, 2020 and end July 19, 2020. Citizens are encouraged to make written comments to be submitted to:
