[ARCHIVED] In-Person Programming Returns to Library September 8

Beginning September 8, the library will resume some of its in person programming, including children’s story time, and will launch a “crafts to go” program. New expanded virtual programming will also launch in September. See below.

Adult Programs

Computer Classes: Wednesday, September 9 (Basic Internet) and 23 (Basic E-mail). Register in person by coming into the library or call the Adult Reference Desk at 281-554-1101.

Children’s Programs

  • In-Person Story Time, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, starting September 8
    • STEAM for Tweens: Craftivity to go, Thursday, September 17

Teen Programs

All September 2020 teen programs require registration. Most require Zoom registration, but Teen Book Box has a separate registration. Teens can go to the Teen Programs page, at https://helenhall.libguides.com/TeenServices/Programs

The Helen Hall Library is now open late during two weekdays and will resume Sunday operations starting September 13, making it the only library open in Galveston County on Sunday. The new hours are:

  • Monday 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Tuesday 10 a.m. - 6 pm
  • Wednesday 10 am - 6 p.m.
  • Thursday 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Friday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Sunday 1- 5 p.m.
