As of Wednesday morning, November 4, Galveston County still has several thousand absentee ballots that need to be counted before election results can be declared official.
However, unofficial election results from both Galveston and Harris counties indicate there will be a runoff election on December 15 between Rachel McAdam and John Bowen for League City Council Position 4 and between Wes Chorn and Justin Hicks for Position 5. Candidates must receive 50% of the vote, otherwise a runoff is required. Incumbent Larry Millican ran unopposed for Position 3.
