[ARCHIVED] Fire Marshal’s Office To Patrol for Fireworks over the New Year's Holiday

Fireworks are illegal

The League City Fire Marshal’s Office would like to remind the citizens of League City that it is unlawful to discharge or possess opened fireworks within the city limits of League City. Per the city ordinance, a firework is defined as “any composition or device designed to produce a visible or audible effect by combustion, explosion, deflagration or detonation”. 

The Fire Marshal’s Office will be out patrolling for fireworks over the New Year's holiday and a violation of this law could result in a fine of up to $2000.
