[ARCHIVED] Trash Service To Resume

ameriwaste

Ameriwaste will resume trash service on Thursday, February 18 for League City customers who are normally scheduled for Thursday collection. Workers will NOT be collecting recycling, heavy trash, or yard debris.  There will be limited window that the landfill is open, so customers need to put their household waste out early.

Due to this week’s weather emergency, customers will only have one day of regularly scheduled garbage service—Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.

Once again, residents are asked to NOT put out any heavy trash, recycling or yard waste.

The City expects most residents to have an increased amount of garbage waste and heavy trash because of the widespread power outages and water pipe breaks over the past few days. Staff are investigating various options and are working with Ameriwaste to determine the best way to handle the expected trash volume increase
