Summer is fast approaching and it’s time to make plans to keep the kids busy while they’re out of school. We’ve gathered a list of the most exciting camps happening in Bay Area Houston this summer. Happy summer camping!

Bushi Ban Summer Camp
The Bushi Ban Summer Camp Program is a high-energy fitness and self-defense program for children ages 5 and up. Your child will learn multi-disciplinary techniques that cover several types of martial arts including karate, Jiu-Jitsu, and kickboxing. Plus, your child will get to go on some exciting field trips with their fellow Bushi Ban classmates.

The Art, Movement, and Life Skills Academy
Campers will gain hands-on life experience through art, photography, creative writing, yoga for kids, outdoor games, and critical life skills through games and drama. Additionally, try the Youth Entrepreneurs program, where children can have fun while learning to apply business and life skills early. Bay Area Arts & Conservatory Workshops
Bay Area Arts Conservatory’s Summer Workshops can help your child discover their hidden musical talent. Students will audition, rehearse, and perform Jr. Broadway Musical Theatre productions such as 101 Dalmatians Kids, Cinderella, and Frozen Jr.

Camp by the Creek
Camp by the Creek with the League City’s Parks and Recreation Department. Energetic camp staff will entertain the campers with different programs, arts and crafts, games, field trips, and outdoor activities. Registration opens on April 20 at 8 a.m. for League City residents. You can register online or in-person at Hometown Heroes Park.

Helen Hall Library
Helen Hall Library is kicking off the summer with a new underwater theme: Oceans of Possibilities. Visit the library anytime from June 1 to July 31 and enjoy activities like a Mermaid Parade, Coastal Crafternoon, Marine Masterpieces, Teen Trivia Night, weekly children’s events at the Civic Center, Sushi Rolling Date Night, ocean-themed take-home crafts, and so much more.
Camp Boomerang
Head on over to Camp Boomerang—hosted by Kids R Kids Learning Academy—for unique weekly themes including Decade Dash, Ultimate Games, Mighty Origins, and Wild Outback. Space is limited.

Code Ninjas
Your child can become a tech-savvy ninja at Code Ninjas’ Summer Camps. Guided by a team of Code Senseis, kids will gain valuable tech skills through themed camps such as web development, game design, 3D printing, and robotics.

Space Center Houston
Space Center Houston’s Explorer Camps introduce children ages 4–11 to science, technology, engineering, and math through engaging and hands-on learning activities. Children will build rockets, design space habitats, and program robots. In addition, children ages 11–18 can attend Space Center U—an ultimate education experience where kids go behind the scenes and get a taste of space exploration

Youth Sailing Camp
Kids can hoist the anchor and set sail with Lakewood Yacht Club’s Youth Sailing Camps. As one of the top yacht club programs in the United States, Lakewood Yacht Club’s youth sailors receive hands-on sailing experience. No prior experience is necessary.

Hawk STEAM Academy and Kids
University of Houston-Clear Lake will be offering the programs Hawk STEAM Academy and Kids U this summer. These programs offer various camps and academies for children of all ages and focus on specific themes—including character development, cultural academy, literacy academy, math mysteries, science, and technology.
