Started in 2016 as a competition between San Francisco and Los Angeles, the City Nature Challenge (CNC) has grown into an international event, motivating people around the world to find and document wildlife in their cities. This year, League City is participating in the challenge from April 29 to May 2. The four-day global bioblitz is a friendly competition among communities to see who can gather the most observations of nature and find the most species.
