In additional to professional artists painting murals on League City’s traffic signal boxes, several students from Clear Creek ISD are having their artwork “wrapped” on boxes. So far two traffic signal boxes have been graphically wrapped with designs created by CCISD students—including Clear Falls High School student Cara Vajdos and Clear Creek Intermediate student Juliana Harrison . All CCISD schools located within League City limits were invited to submit a student design as part of the City’s Public Art Initiative. League City hopes mores CCISD campuses will be submitting artwork before the end of the current school year and during the upcoming 2022/2023 school year.

In addition to the traffic signal boxes, CCISD student artwork will be on display at the City’s Public Art gallery—located in the lobby of the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center—starting on Monday, May 9 until June 24. The free gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. All CCISD elementary, middle and high schools located in League City were invited to submit student artwork for the gallery display.
