Clark died on Sunday, May 8, 2022, from multiple recent health issues. He had served as a Galveston County Commissioner for Precinct 4 since 1998 and was the county's longest-serving elected official. During his tenure, Clark represented his constituents through multiple county, regional, and statewide board positions. He worked tirelessly on important issues including lowering taxes, improving transportation, and reducing flooding.

Ken is survived by his wife of 34-years, Sherry, and his seven children—Sarah, Charity, Israel, Hannah, Samuel, Rebekah, and Faith—as well as four grandchildren, his mother Darlene, and brothers Kevin, Mike, and Mark.
