Do you want to learn more about the League City Police Department and how it runs? Sign up for the League City Citizen’s Police Academy, a course that gives you a behind-the-scenes look at how the department operates. The course is 15 weeks long with meetings once a week.

Applicants must be employed in League City or be a resident, at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and pass a background check. The next class will begin in August 18th. Application for the class must be submitted by August 15th.

Students will receive instruction on:

Accident investigation
Detention Officers
Criminal investigations
Family violence
Firearm safety
Illicit drugs
Juvenile laws
Patrol operations
Texas penal code
Traffic law
Use of force
And much more!
