Staff from the League City Park Operations Department has been busy installing new holiday décor around the City including the addition of ten feet to the City’s holiday tree, new holiday banners along Park Avenue, and several “interactive” decorations that are perfect for selfies and holiday photos with the family.

Located in front of the 55-foot holiday tree at League Park is a new bench designed in the shape of a holiday ornament. Several people can sit in the bench at the same time—making it the perfect spot to take your holiday card photo. Also at the park are new holiday banners, hanging baskets with poinsettias, and holiday lights and décor on the gazebo and caboose—installed with the help of the League City Garden Club.
A new selfie spot has also been created at Helen’s Garden using 10-foot letters that light up and spell the word “merry” when a person stands at the end and holds their hands up, creating the letter “Y”.

Interactive photos can also be taken in front of three gigantic light-up stars—the largest of which is 16 feet—located in front of the Helen Hall Library and the League City Municipal Courts Building.

So, head out and take some holiday photos and selfies. And be sure to share them with us on social media using #LCHoliday and by tagging us on Facebook and Instagram
