Spring break is almost here! Check out these kid-friendly activities hosted by our Library and Parks & Rec departments during CCISD spring break, from March 11–19.
At the Library
Children’s Activities
I Spy
With your little eye can you find all the items hidden in the Children’s Section?

It’s all Greek to me!
If Camp Half-Blood is too far away, learn about the gods and goddesses (and the monsters too) from Greek Mythology before (hopefully) you get eaten!

Big Kids Book Club
Come hang out while a librarian reads a few chapters of an amazing children’s book. You can let the librarian know what you think of the book and join in an activity. This book club will meet twice a month, reading the selected title until it is concluded. The book club members will help select the next book.

Teen Activities
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament
3. 2. 1. GO! Put your game face on and play the newest Super Smash Bros. game against others! Registration is available on the Teen Programs page. GameCube controllers will be provided and are the only controllers used for the tournament. It is recommended to attend Game On to practice with the tournament controllers.

Myths & Tales
Explore the legendary, mystical worlds of mythology and folktales! Make friends, learn a thing or two, and have fun. This program is hosted by a Teen Advisory Board member.

Game On
Drop by to play Nintendo Switch games, Jackbox games, Uno, and more! Games are provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own games. Smart phones/tablets with internet access are needed for online-based games.

Teen Writers Club
Do you have what it takes to be a writer? Hone your skills with crazy writing prompts and support each other through the creative writing process.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
Become an ambassador for your Library and gain leadership experience! Help plan teen activities, assist with Library events, and more. Snacks are served and participation counts as service hours. New members are welcome! Applications for new members are provided at the program.

Teen Support Circle
Do you feel lonely, stressed, anxious, or just want to talk to someone? Teen Support Circle is a nonjudgmental space where you can get support from other teens. This program is hosted by a Teen Advisory Board member.

Dice & Dimensions

At Parks & Recreation
Agents of Discovery
Similar to Pokemon Go, Agents of Discovery is an app-based augmented-reality game that sends players on missions. The Parks & Rec team has made a mission just for League City residents! Simply download the app (search for Agents of Discovery in the app store) and head to Hometown Heroes Park to start your mission. Watch the video below for more details on how it works.

MiddleMan Skateboard Camp
Our annual skateboard camp is coming back! Skateboard instructors from Middleman will be on hand giving encouraging and interactive guidance to skateboarders who are just learning how to stand on a skateboard and to those comfortable with more advanced moves. Skateboard helmets and loaner boards are provided each day. Camp will take place at Big League Dreams Skate Park.
