League City Mourns the Loss of Former Mayor Tommy Frankovich

The City of League City is sad to share that former mayor Tommy Frankovich passed away on Thursday, March 16. Tommy was mayor from 1995 to 2002, was a former Friends of Helen Hall Library president, and also served as the library board chairman. In total, he served on the library board for 20 years. He was dedicated to making League City a wonderful community, and spent many years of his life in service to the citizens, including 31 years as a teacher. As we mourn his loss, we want to express our sincere gratitude for his selfless commitment to the citizens of League City. Thank you, Tommy.

Funeral Service

  • Monday, March 20
  • First Baptist Church, 420 Slossen Street in Webster
  • Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m.
  • Funeral service from 7 to 8 p.m.
