[ARCHIVED] Art Submissions Now Accepted for Upcoming Art Gallery

Submissions Being Accepted for Upcoming Art Gallery

League City's upcoming Public Art Gallery—The Art of Paper—will open May 26 and will showcase paper craft pieces.  Please submit your artwork by emailing a photo of your art piece to  by May 5. The art gallery is hosted in the Civic Center and is free to the public.

In addition, we are also accepting origami birds to fill the gallery and would love public participation. Residents of all ages are encouraged to make their own origami bird and drop it off at Helen Hall Library and City Hall by May 5. When dropping off your bird, you will be asked to write your name and age down so we can credit all the artists. Origami birds will not be returned. 

What is Paper Craft?

Paper Craft is art created with paper as the primary medium. Paper craft pieces may include:

  • Paper Flowers
  • Decoupage
  • Papier-mâché
  • Origami
  • Paper Cutting
  • Quilling
  • Paper Layering
  • Paper Models
