[ARCHIVED] American Water Works (AWWA) Drinking Water Week is May 7-13, 2023

For more than 42 years, the American Water Works Association and its members have celebrated Drinking Water Week – a unique opportunity for both water professionals and the communities they serve to join together in recognizing the vital role water plays in our daily lives.

Each year, the City of League City formally recognizes this week and coordinates water conservation and reuse public outreach events to coincide. This year, Drinking Water Week is celebrated from May 7-13, 2023. Activities associated with Drinking Water Week include rain barrel sales, low flow toilet rebate incentives, and public water conservation events. See below for more information on upcoming events:

Kids Workshop 

  • Location - Home Depot (3200 Gulf Freeway in Target shopping center)
  • Date/Time - Saturday, May 6th from 9:00 am – Noon

Story Telling Time with Captain H2O 

  • Location - Helen Hall Library (100 W. Walker St.)
  • Date/Time - Monday, May 8th from 9:00 am – Noon

Wings Along the Water 

  • Location - Heritage Park (1220 Coryell St.)
  • Date/Time - Saturday, May 13th from 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm
