Next Week's Events

Beginning Spanish

Monday, May 22 from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m., for adults
Learn the basics of Spanish, including everyday vocabulary and simple conversation. Note: May 22 is the last Spanish class before breaking for the summer. We'll be back August 14.

Sensory Play Date

Tuesday, May 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.; for ages birth to 3 years
Bring your little one to learn as they explore! 

Teen Crochet Club

Thursday, May 25 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.; for ages 12 to 18
Relax as you work on your latest crochet project and enjoy the company of others. There is no formal instruction, but beginners are welcome. Please bring yarn, a crochet hook, and any materials you may need. This program is hosted by a Teen Advisory Board member. 

Library Closed for Memorial Day

Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29
The Library will be closed on Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29 in honor of Memorial Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 30.

Craft Carnival

Tuesday, May 30 from 10:30 a.m. to noon; for all ages
Enjoy cartoons as you put together a kit of crafts!

Summer Reading Challenge Kick-Off

Wednesday, May 31 from 10:30 a.m. to noon; for all ages
Join the celebration outside! There will be activities for everyone: Jump rope races, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and more! 

Pop-Up Storytime at Walker Street Pool

Friday, June 2 from 10:30 a.m. to noon; for ages birth to 3
Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, a boat activity, and loads of fun! The littlest attendees can put their feet in the baby pool while the bigger kids build their pool boat floats! The pool will be closed for swimming to accommodate the boat float activity.

Teen Guitar Lessons

Friday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to noon (session 1) and noon to 1 p.m. (session 2).
Sign up for a one-hour session to learn the fundamentals of playing guitar. Please bring your own guitar, preferably an acoustic guitar.
Note: Registration is required and available on the Teen Programs webpage: https://bit.ly/HHLTeenPrograms. Teens are required to have transportation present at the end of the event.
