[ARCHIVED] Understanding Impact Fees and How they Work

With a population nearing 120,000, and 40 percent of League City left to be built out, City Councilmembers and staff are preparing for the future. This includes updating the city’s numerous Master Plans and evaluating the impact fees developers are charged for creating water, wastewater, and mobility infrastructure for future residential and commercial developments.

In his monthly video program, “Short Updates with Nick Long,” League City’s mayor explains the role of impact fees, the importance of updating the City’s master plans, and why he and City Council recently appointed a Charter Review Committee to examine the document that currently outlines how League City is governed.
