All League City residents are invited to attend a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 29 hosted by American Legion Post 554 and the Fairview Cemetery Group to honor the men and women who have sacrificed their lives in service of our country. 

The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery located at the end of North Kansas Street along the banks of Clear Creek. The ceremony will feature a 21-gun salute and presentation of the colors by members of League City Police Department, Dickinson Police Department, and the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office. There will also be a moment of silence and a roll call of area service members who have died while in military service.
