Hurricane Preparedness & Safety Fair on Saturday, June 17
Come out to Hometown Heroes for activities, exhibits, vendors, and local preparedness resources
The League City Office of Emergency Management is co-hosting a Hurricane Preparedness & Safety Fair on June 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hometown Heroes Park. This event is being hosted in partnership with the Galveston County Office of Emergency Management, Clear Lake Shores Office of Emergency Management, Dickinson Office of Emergency Management, and Friendswood Office of Emergency Management.
The fair will feature a seasonal outlook from the National Weather Service Meteorologist-In-Charge Jeff Evans, door prizes, touch-a-truck with emergency response vehicles, face painting, preparedness vendors, kids’ activities, music, and more.
There will also be resources from emergency management experts, as well as interactive exhibits and demonstrations. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from emergency management agencies, learn about evacuation routes, and gather important preparedness and safety information.
"We encourage all our residents to attend the Hurricane Preparedness and Safety Fair," said Ryan Edghill, League City Emergency Management Coordinator. "It's a great opportunity to learn how to protect your family and property during a hurricane, and to connect with your community."
This event is free and open to the public.
