Traffic Alert: I-45 Lane Closures This Week and Weekend

There will be HOV lane closures beginning July 18 and total main lane closures beginning the morning of July 22.
The final overhead sign structure on I-45 is being installed this weekend. Beginning on Tuesday, July 18, contractors will assemble the structure, which requires closures of the north and southbound HOV lanes from Tuesday through Sunday. Installation of the structure will begin this weekend and will require a total closure of I-45 main lanes from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon. I-45 Main Lane Closures

Saturday July 22 at 6 a.m. to Sunday July 23 at 12 p.m. 

• Total Closure of I-45 northbound and southbound main lanes between FM 518 and Nasa Road 1

  Detour: Traffic will exit the northbound main lanes using the exit ramp to Nasa Road 1 and continue on the northbound feeder road. Traffic will enter the northbound main lanes using entrance ramp from FM 528.

• Total closure of southbound entrance ramp from Bay Area Blvd.

  Detour: Traffic will exit the southbound main lanes using the exit ramp to FM 528 and continue on the southbound frontage road. Traffic will enter the southbound main lanes using entrance ramp from Nasa Road 1.

• Total closure of northbound entrance ramp from FM-518.

  Detour: Traffic will enter the northbound main lanes using the entrance ramp from FM 528 

• Total closure of southbound exit ramp to FM-518.

  Detour: Traffic will exit the southbound main lanes using the exit ramp to FM 528 and continue on the southbound feeder road towards FM 518.
