Clear Creek Paddle Race
Join us at the Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside Saturday, August 19. Registration can be done online or in person the morning of the race. The Clear Creek Paddle Race is a short marathon event (4.5 miles round trip) on League City's Clear Creek. The race will begin and end at Lynn Gripon Countryside Park, the turn around is marked on the course (just past Challenger Memorial Park near Amber Lane). There are several boat categories to choose from so no matter what you paddle in or on, we have an event for you!

League City Adaptive Hoedown, Dance for Individuals with Disabilities
Join us August 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. for our League City Adaptive Hoedown at Hometown Heroes Park! The $5 entrance fee includes 1 participant and their caregiver. Dinner is included and we will be serving a BBQ dinner sponsored by the Lions Club and music provided by The Dash Gordon Foundation. Pre-registration is required and can be done in person or by visiting our online registration site.

Taste of Code Ninjas Summer Classes
Join us for Taste of Code Ninjas as we explore the fundamentals of coding and computer systems through a variety of fun STEM activities! Laptops will be provided for all students. Classes will be held at the Community Center: 400 S. Kansas Ave. Different sessions are held weekly, Monday - Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for kids ages 6 to 12 years old. The session fee is $185. Class dates can be viewed online.
Irish Dance Classes
Learn the basics of Irish dance in a fun, family friendly environment. The final session runs from August 8 to 29 and costs $80 to register. Classes are on Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. for ages 7 to 15, and 7 to 8 p.m. for ages 16 and older. Classes are held at the Community Center.
Strength and Conditioning Class
IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH & STAY ACTIVE! The next session of our Strength and Conditioning class starts May 2! In this class, participants will learn proper technique to avoid injury, increase joint stability and improve bone health. Class will meet on Tuesdays, August 8 to 29 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hometown Heroes Park. This class is open to ages 50 and older. The registration fee is $60.
Summer Tennis
Our League City Tennis camp is designed for beginning and novice level students as well as entry level tournament players and school players. This camp will allow players ample development time and is an amazing way to learn the proper stroke mechanics, tactical progressions, and motivate students to see how much fun tennis is! We will run exciting competitions, drills, and games on the tennis court. Players will be grouped by age and skill level. USPTA certified professional instruction! To view class times/dates and cost.
