Clear Creek Cleanup Removes 8 Tons of Trash from Creek

Following four weekends of cleaning trash from the creek, the final Clear Creek Cleanup event—hosted by the Clear Creek Environmental Foundation—was held on Saturday, February 3. Despite the rainy weather, about 75 volunteers showed up to clean.

Over the course of the project, more than 200 volunteers removed a total of eight tons of trash from the creek, including two telephone poles, several tires, rebar, lumber, slabs of concrete, and other debris.

Thank you to all the volunteers. These annual events help ensure Clear Creek remains a healthy habitat for wildlife and a safe place for recreational use.
